Residential comfort requires air humidity
In residential buildings an air humidity of 30% to 60% is perceived as pleasant. On very cold days the humidity deceases through the temperature increase of the outside air in the ventilation system. At the same time humidity from the house is transported with the exhaust air. Thus the air humidity can clearly decrease less than 30%. To avoid this, we recommend our airing devices with moisture return.
Return of humidity is the solution
The models BasicVent and EcoVent are also available with enthalpy heat exchanger. The heat exchanger allows beside the recovery of the heat also the return of the moist dampness from the exhaust air. Besides, the airflows remain completely separate. This allows a hygienically flawless solution. The transfer of smells and germs is excluded.
Functionality of the enthalpy heat exchanger
The humidity exchange occurs after the physical principle of osmosis. The steam of the exhaust air condenses on the special polymer membrane. With medium osmotic pressure the water molecules diffuses through the membrane and are absorbed by the dry outside air. So the heated air with ideal humidity flows back into the building.
The best performance
The performance data of the devices are excellent. Although the heat provision of enthalpy heat exchanger is minimal lower than a standard heat exchanger, the energy stored in the steam causes an overall improved performance. The heat supply degree lies with up to 80% and up to 74% of the humidity can be recovered.
