WATERKOTTE – the origin of German heat pumps
Environmentally friendly, economical and innovative – these values already shaped the vision of Klemens Oskar Waterkotte, the pioneer of the modern heat pump, back in 1968. He developed the first German heat pump and was already using geothermal energy to heat his own house sustainably at that time.
His in-depth expertise in refrigeration, air conditioning and process engineering enabled him to create a completely new heating technology that laid the foundation for a climate-friendly future. The founding of his company marked the beginning of the success story of WATERKOTTE, one of the oldest and most renowned heat pump manufacturers.

Subsidies
In Germany, anyone who switches to renewable heat in an existing building can receive government subsidies through the "Bundesförderung für effiziente Gebäude" (BEG). You can choose between the sub-programmes "Einzelmaßnahmen" (EM), "Wohngebäude" (WG) and "Nichtwohngebäude" (NWG).

With a wide range of outputs from 1 to 300 kW as series-produced, cascadable individual units, WATERKOTTE offers the right heat pump for every construction project and the right solution for every challenge.
