We are therefore delighted to be able to support you with our academy programme in 2026, offering training courses on the basics, installation, servicing and much more relating to heat pump technology! Our tried-and-tested training courses are held at our headquarters in Bochum as well as at our regional centres in Stuttgart and Munich.
Our academy seminars are exclusively intended for installation companies.

In fact, our partnership begins even before the planning phase: with the comprehensive training concept of the WATERKOTTE Academy, we have been fulfilling our responsibility to actively shape an energy-efficient future for decades. From skilled trades to architects and planners, we provide training for the use of environmentally friendly heat pumps and share the expertise we have built up over many decades.
WATERKOTTE as an Official VDI Training Partner
The VDI 4645 guideline describes the necessary steps for planning heat pump systems in single-family and multi-family homes – from preliminary investigations and concept development to detailed planning. It contains recommendations on hydraulic circuits, component dimensioning, documentation, commissioning and operator training. Economic aspects are also taken into account.
As an official training partner of the VDI, we offer training in accordance with VDI 4645 (PE) at our academy locations. After successfully completing the online exam, you will receive the qualification certificate ‘Expert for heat pump systems according to VDI 4645’.

With nearly 60 years of experience, WATERKOTTE as a heat pump specialist brings an exceptional depth of expertise. For many years, this knowledge has been passed on to skilled trades through the WATERKOTTE Academy.
Our basic, service, and expert training programs cover the planning and installation of heat pump systems as well as maintenance and service competencies, conveying knowledge “from practice, for practice.” In many cases, what has been learned can be directly applied and simulated on real equipment.
Special Training Programs for Vocational & Technical Education Institutions
In addition to our regular Academy program, WATERKOTTE offers free special training sessions and instructional support for vocational schools, technical colleges, and apprenticeship training programs.
Whether at our production site in Bochum or with our trainers visiting your institution, our experienced instructors bring nearly 60 years of industry knowledge and hands-on expertise directly to students and teaching staff.
We Reward Your Commitment
As a participant in the WATERKOTTE Academy program, you will receive your personal seminar pass, in which each completed training course is recorded. After completing ten training sessions, you will be awarded your personal certificate, providing formal proof of the knowledge acquired at the WATERKOTTE Academy.
